Belvoir Farm started in 1984 when Lord John Manners was looking for something to do with surplus strawberries on his Leicestershire fruit farm. Walking the fields one day, he came home to find his mother Lady Mary Manners steeping bowls of elderflowers in the kitchen, filtering them through muslin. She'd been making elderflower cordial with that same recipe since the 1950s. The family bottled it up and sold 88 cases to local farm shops. Four decades later, they're producing 30 million bottles a year.

The farm sits on the Belvoir Castle estate near Grantham, on land that's been settled since Norman times. The name comes from the French 'bel voir', meaning beautiful view. Pronounced 'Beever', in case you were wondering.

Pev Manners, son of the founders, now runs the operation. The core range remains cordials and sparkling soft drinks: elderflower, ginger beer, lemonade, raspberry and lemon. Everything uses real ingredients. No artificial preservatives, flavourings, or sweeteners. They grow their own organic elderflowers on site and run an annual 'big harvest' where locals from Leicestershire and surrounding counties bring in hand-picked flowers, paid by the kilo.

Their mocktail range brings the same approach to alcohol-free cocktails. The Lime and Yuzu Mojito blends freshly squeezed lime with mint. The Passionfruit Martini uses real tropical fruit and Madagascan vanilla. There's also a Peach Bellini, Raspberry Margarita, and a G&T made with juniper and other botanicals. All in ready-to-drink cans, all made with actual fruit and natural ingredients rather than synthetic flavourings.

Belvoir achieved B Corp certification in 2025 with a score of 91.2, above the UK average. They've committed to carbon neutrality by 2035.

You'll find Belvoir in most major supermarkets, delis, and farm shops across Britain. Their drinks work equally well at a summer picnic or as a sophisticated alcohol-free option at dinner. After 40 years of making the same elderflower cordial recipe, they've earned their reputation for quality.
