The Grapefruit & Blood Orange variant takes Hop Splash's base concept and adds actual citrus into it. Red grapefruit juice concentrate and blood orange juice concentrate go in alongside Mosaic and Simcoe hops, two varieties that lean into tropical and dank resinous territory. The result is more vibrant than the original. On the nose it's immediately citrusy: grapefruit peel, blood orange, and a tropical undercurrent from the Mosaic. There's a slight sharpness on the palate from the grapefruit pith that stops it from feeling sugary. The carbonation is lively, the finish clean and dry. No bitterness, no malt, nothing heavy.
