About This Drink
Firebrand operate out of a converted milking parlour on Bodmin Moor in North Cornwall, which is not the obvious location for a craft brewery, but it seems to work. Little Wave is their alcohol-free lager, and it doesn't try to be anything other than that. The pour is bright and clear with steady carbonation. Light grain on the nose, a hint of mild hop greenery, nothing demanding. On the palate it's clean cereal malt with a faint bread crust quality and low, rounded bitterness. The body is light and the finish short. There's no cloying sweetness and no off-notes, which puts it ahead of quite a few alcohol-free lagers that overcorrect for both. At 7 calories per 100ml it's very low in energy. Vegan, though not gluten-free.
