About This Drink
Flying Colours is JumpShip's take on the amber ale, a style that tends to lead with malt rather than hops. Brewed in Scotland below 0.5% ABV, vegan and gluten-free. It pours tawny amber with caramel-toned foam. Citrus peel and pine come through on the nose, backed by roasted malt and a faint floral note. On the palate the malt does most of the talking: biscuit, light caramel, and bread crust give it some weight, with the hops adding moderate bitterness and a bright citrus edge to stop it becoming too heavy. The finish is medium in length, clean, and moderately dry. If you usually reach for a pale ale but want something a shade more structured, this sits comfortably in that territory.
