About This Drink
Fre Sauvignon Blanc goes through conventional California winemaking before the alcohol is removed via spinning cone technology, coming in below 0.5% ABV. The process runs at low temperature, which matters particularly for Sauvignon Blanc given how easily the varietal aromatics can be damaged. The nose is lifted: green grass, passion fruit and mango alongside some lighter citrus. The bright acidity that California Sauvignon Blanc is known for carries through clearly on the palate, with tropical fruit dominant and a dry, fresh close. The texture is light and the finish holds the aromatic character without any sweetness getting in the way. Serve well-chilled. Goat's cheese, grilled fish or pesto-based dishes work well against the acidity.
