About This Drink
Estrella Damm 0.0% goes through standard lager fermentation before the alcohol is pulled out using vacuum distillation, a process that keeps temperatures low enough to protect the volatile aromatic compounds that would otherwise cook off. The result is closer to the original than a lot of AF lagers manage. It pours bright golden amber with good clarity and persistent carbonation. Grassy hops and light grain on the nose, with a faint citrus note in the background. On the palate, gentle malt sweetness comes first before a measured bitterness takes over. The body is light without being watery, and the finish is dry and clean with a soft hop bite. For an AF lager it's well-balanced. Nothing unexpected, but that's not really the point.
