Square Root spent twelve months developing this before putting it into a can. Rather than sweetening or flavouring their way to a G&T impression, they used perfume distilling techniques to extract a true botanical distillate: juniper, cubeb pepper, cardamom, liquorice, angelica, coriander, and Persian dried lime. That distillate is blended with their own tonic, made in-house with British beet sugar, fresh Sicilian lemon juice, lemon rind, and natural quinine. The result is noticeably drier and more botanical than most alcohol-free G&T alternatives. Juniper comes through clearly on the nose alongside fragrant citrus peel and aromatic spice. On the palate it's crisp, with a quinine bitterness that behaves like the real thing. The Persian dried lime adds an earthy, savoury depth that separates it from sweeter RTD options. No preservatives, no artificial additives. Serve cold over ice with a strip of lemon or lime peel.
