This is not a gin in any conventional sense. There are no botanicals, no juniper, no distillation process involved. It is carbonated water, sugar, citric acid, and natural strawberry flavouring, coloured a vivid deep pink by black carrot extract. The 0.0% ABV is achieved because there is nothing alcoholic in here to begin with. On the nose it is unmistakably sweet and candy-like, strawberry-forward with a faint lemon note underneath. The palate follows the same pattern: fruit-flavoured sparkling soft drink territory, with citric acid providing brightness and a light sherbet quality. The lemonade element shows up as tartness rather than as a distinct flavour. The finish is short and clean. If you go in expecting a spirit alternative with botanical complexity you will be disappointed. If you go in expecting a sweet, pink, sparkling drink, it does that competently.
