Dry

Sparkling tea brewed from Chinese pan-fired Dragonwell green tea, fermented wine-style and bottled with just four ingredients.

About This Drink

REAL Dry is about restraint. Dragonwell is a pan-fired green tea with a clean, slightly nutty character and none of the vegetal quality you sometimes get from green teas. That baseline carries through into the finished drink. It pours pale gold with fine bubbles. The nose is bright and citrusy: lemon and grapefruit, with a delicate floral green tea note underneath. On the palate it's light-bodied and crisp, the citrus sharpening into something dry and precise as it moves toward a nutty finish. There's no sweetness here to round off the edges, which is exactly the point. Four ingredients, 0.5% ABV, brewed at the Fermentery on the Waddesdon Estate. If you're after something clean and low-intervention, this is near the top of the sparkling tea field.
