Cloudy Lemon Lager takes its format from the Bavarian Radler: half alcohol-free lager, half lemonade. The lemonade here is made with natural lemon juice rather than artificial flavouring, which makes a noticeable difference. The result sits somewhere between a beer and a soft drink, which is either a selling point or a reason to look elsewhere depending on what you want. It pours straw-gold and gently hazy. The nose is fresh lemon zest with a touch of sherbet. On the palate the lemon is clean and upfront, the malt sweetness from the lager base keeping it from tipping into pure lemonade territory, and a faint hop bitterness adding a more grown-up note at the back. At 0.2% ABV it is one of the lightest options in the Nirvana range.
