Le Blanc starts as full-strength organic Chardonnay before the alcohol is removed through a gentle dealcoholisation process. That starting point matters: using actual wine rather than grape juice means the resulting liquid has genuine structure, not just fruit flavour in carbonated water. In the glass it's a clear pale gold with fine, persistent bubbles. The nose has a clean mineral note, then ripe pear and tropical fruit. On the palate, Granny Smith apple is the dominant character, with lemon acidity and a thread of spicy citrus peel adding some interest. It's light-bodied but not thin. The finish is short and clean. This is the entry point to the French Bloom range: straightforward and well made, without the depth of the vintage expression but none of the awkwardness that lets down cheaper dealcoholised wines.
