Blush
A 0.5% sparkling rosé from Cornwall, built on dealcoholised wine and blended with five botanicals including Damask Rose and Lemon Balm.
About This Drink
Blush pours pale rose-pink with fine, persistent bubbles. The nose is generous: wild strawberry, a lift of floral rose, a breath of raspberry. On the palate it sits dry rather than sweet, with rosehip tea and strawberries and cream giving way to crab apple and a clean mineral finish. The texture is rounded without being flat. The botanical blend, which includes Rosemary, Ashwagandha and Damiana alongside the rose and lemon balm, is selected by the brand's naturopath. How much that registers in the glass is hard to say, but it does not come across as medicinal. What you notice is the fruit character, which carries through cleanly to the finish. It's made in Cornwall from a dealcoholised wine base. At 27 calories per 100ml it's light, and the bubbles are fine enough that it holds up reasonably well in a champagne flute.
