GUTsy Captain Original is made in Portugal using organic green tea and cane sugar fermented with live bacteria and yeast until a natural acidity develops. The sugar content drops during fermentation, leaving behind a lightly sparkling drink with live cultures and no added flavourings beyond a small amount of tea extract. It pours a pale amber-gold with a gentle natural fizz. On the nose there is green tea, a hint of bergamot, and the characteristic earthiness of fermented tea.
