Oatmeal Dark is Bravus's stout-style beer, brewed with oats and then dealcoholised. The oats do what they always do: soften the body and take the edge off the roasted bitterness. What comes through is coffee and chocolate up front, caramel underneath, and a mouthfeel that's medium-bodied rather than thin. It pours deep brown to near-black with a tan head. The finish is smooth rather than dry, which puts it closer to a milk stout than a bone-dry Irish stout. At 99 calories and below 0.5% ABV, it's one of the more substantial-feeling options in the non-alcoholic dark beer category. Vegan, gluten-reduced to under 20 ppm.
