About This Drink

Free Damm is built from water, barley malt, maize, rice and hops, the same bill as the standard Damm lager. After fermentation, the alcohol is drawn off through vacuum distillation at low temperature. Damm reintroduces some of the aromatic compounds lost in the process, which helps with depth. In the glass it's a transparent amber with gold tones and a light head. The nose is clean and hop-forward, with white floral notes sitting over light grain. On the palate it's delicate: suggestions of toast and cereal, mild sweetness, and a smooth body that doesn't tip cloying. Bitterness is modest but present, and the finish is dry. It's one of the more widely distributed AF lagers in Spain and increasingly visible in the UK. Does what it says.
