Clear Head IPA
A 0.5% IPA brewed with Citra and Mosaic hops and a measure of lactose, made in collaboration with mental health charity Talk Club.
About This Drink
Clear Head is built around two American hops. Citra and Mosaic do most of the work here, pushing mango, grapefruit and lemon zest through the aroma before you've even taken a sip. A small addition of lactose rounds out the body without making it sweet, which stops this from feeling thin in the way some low-ABV IPAs do. In the glass it pours clear gold. The carbonation is tight, the mouthfeel medium, and the bitterness lands cleanly on the finish with a slightly tacky, lingering quality. For 0.5% it carries itself well. Bristol Beer Factory brewed it with Talk Club, a men's mental health movement, and five percent of sales go to the charity. That's worth knowing, but it's not why you'd drink it.
