About This Drink
Moscatel (Muscat of Alexandria) is a natural fit for the Sangre de Toro zero range. The variety's high aromatic intensity carries through the dealcoholisation process well, and the result has noticeably more perfume than a neutral white base would produce. The wine pours a brilliant gold with green highlights. Ripe melon and citrus peel come through on the nose, with hints of fennel and light herbal spice. On the palate the fruit weight is fuller than the lighter Natureo whites; there's good mid-palate presence and low astringency. The finish is pleasant and moderately long, fading on fruit. Alcohol is removed using Torres' vacuum distillation process, run at low temperature to preserve the Moscatel's aromatic character.
