About This Drink
The pour is a clear deep gold. The grapefruit is there immediately on the nose, white pith and fresh zest rather than artificial sweetness, and it carries right through on the palate. There's a tartness that runs alongside a light hop bitterness, keeping things from tipping into fruit juice territory. It sits in Brooklyn's Special Effects range alongside the standard IPA and Hoppy Lager, and it's the most single-minded of the three. The malt is barely present, which is the point. If you want something softer and more balanced, the IPA does that. This one is all about the grapefruit.
