Hiddenseer

Berberich trained at Weihenstephan, Bavaria's legendary brewing school, before heading north. When he decided to build his own brewery, he partnered with experienced brewmasters from Belgium and the USA. The goal was ambitious: combine the best brewing traditions from three great beer nations into something genuinely distinctive.

The brewery's methods lean traditional. Floor-malted barley provides the base, chosen for its fuller flavour and creamier head. Open fermentation in the sea air allows natural esterification, building complexity without rushing the process. Every bottle undergoes conditioning with live yeast, which keeps the beer fresh longer and gives it a fine, natural carbonation.

Hiddenseer's alcohol-free range currently includes two options. The Weizen delivers classic Bavarian wheat beer character with banana and clove notes, while the Radler blends light malt with lemon-grapefruit juice for something more refreshing. Both sit at 0.5% ABV.

The full-strength Hiddenseer lineup runs to a crisp Pils, a gentle Hell, and a traditional Weizen, all brewed with the same attention to craft. Insel-Brauerei picked up recognition early, winning World Beer Awards for their IPA in 2016.

In the UK, Hiddenseer's alcohol-free beers appear at specialist retailers like Dry Drinker and The Alcohol Free Co. The brewery also runs a visitor centre in Rambin where you can tour the production and sample the range.
