Wiper and True has become one of Bristol's most celebrated breweries since establishing in the city. Their attention to craft extends to everything they make, including an alcohol-free range that has picked up serious recognition at major competitions.

Alcohol-Free Kaleidoscope, their take on their flagship Pale Ale, is among the stronger entries in the category. Citra, Simcoe, and Mosaic hops combine to create bright citrus and vibrant fruit flavours balanced with clean bitterness. It demonstrates what dedicated recipe design can achieve when the brewer already knows how to handle hops.

Tomorrow, their alcohol-free lager, takes a traditional German-style approach. Careful dealcoholisation preserves the bread crust character and herbal hop notes you'd expect from the style, finishing crisp and clean. It's a harder style to pull off than a pale ale, and they manage it well.

The range also includes a creamy Milk Shake with cocoa and vanilla, plus hazy pale ales heavy with stone fruit and citrus. Not a huge portfolio, but each one has clearly been thought through.

The Old Market taproom in Bristol serves these beers fresh alongside the full-strength range. Brewery tours run regularly if you want to see the operation up close.

Available at Dry Drinker and the brewery's own online shop. Distribution is fairly limited compared to the biggest AF names, so it skews towards those who seek it out rather than stumble across it in a supermarket.
