Brothers Sander and Ronald van de Streek started homebrewing in Utrecht in 2010. By 2013 they had gone commercial, and by 2017 they owned a proper craft brewery in a former industrial building on the outskirts of the city. A taproom followed in 2019, then a beer and food bar on the historic Oudegracht canal in 2023.

VandeStreek's alcohol-free range has earned serious recognition. Playground IPA, brewed since 2017, took silver at the 2019 Barcelona Beer Challenge. Five varieties of American hops give it the bold, vibrant character that makes it one of Europe's most acclaimed AF IPAs. Fun House brings the hazy, juicy New England IPA style to 0.5%, packed with Mosaic and Citra hops.

The brewery claims to have created the world's first non-alcoholic Bock, showing willingness to explore styles that other AF producers avoid. This innovation runs through their approach: each alcohol-free beer aims to deliver genuine craft character rather than approximate what full-strength beers taste like.

The Utrecht taproom keeps 16 taps rotating on Fridays and Saturdays, including their AF range in cans and bottles alongside full-strength options. The canal-side bar brings their beers to the city centre.

Available through Dry Drinker and specialist retailers in the UK, as well as across Europe. VandeStreek represents Dutch craft brewing's serious entry into the alcohol-free category.
