Sheppy's
Six generations of the Sheppy family have made cider from Three Bridges Farm in Somerset, putting them among the oldest independent cider makers in the world. Over 200 years of knowledge shows in every bottle.
David Sheppy, the current Master of Cider, oversees 90 acres of organic orchards, some trees exceeding 100 years old. Thirty varieties of Somerset cider apples grow on the farm, each contributing distinct character to the finished ciders. Everything happens on site: growing, harvesting, pressing, and bottling.
The Low Alcohol Classic Cider at 0.5% ABV launched in June 2018, crafted to match the flavour profile of their traditional range. A blend of Somerset's finest traditional and dessert apples creates genuine cider character rather than thin imitation. The gluten-free certification broadens its appeal.
Visitors can experience the operation firsthand. Tours show behind the scenes while the House of Cider serves as café and shop. The farm sits between Taunton and Wellington, accessible for anyone exploring Somerset.
UK availability runs through supermarkets including Tesco, as well as specialist retailers and direct from the farm. Two centuries of family expertise and a single low-alcohol expression: not a pivot, just an extension of what they already do well.
