Fizzero Sparkling White
Zero-alcohol sparkling white produced through bacterial fermentation of grape juice, blended with a green tea infusion. Crisp, light and fine-bubbled.
About This Drink
Fizzero Sparkling White does something genuinely unusual: it skips the dealcoholisation step entirely. Instead of making wine and removing the alcohol, De Bortoli ferments grape juice using a bacterial process that mimics wine complexity without producing alcohol as a by-product. The base is then blended with a premium green tea infusion before bottling. The result pours pale straw with a generous head of fine bubbles. The nose is light, with grape and citrus notes and a faint green tea character. On the palate there's green apple, a delicate floral quality, and a mild bittersweet note from the tea that gives it more dimension than standard sparkling grape juice. It's not trying to be champagne, but it's a well-constructed zero-alcohol fizz. At 22 calories per 100ml it's one of the lower-calorie sparkling options in the category.
