Kin Euphorics
Kin Euphorics emerged from an unlikely origin story. Founder Jen Batchelor grew up in Saudi Arabia, where her father ran an underground distillery from their home, making gins, beers, and wines for the local expat community. Those gatherings taught her that drinks bring people together. But she also saw the messy side of alcohol and started wondering whether connection really needed intoxication.
Launched in late 2018 from Los Angeles, Kin set out to answer that question. The company creates functional beverages built around adaptogens, nootropics, and botanicals, drawing on Ayurvedic medicine principles. Rather than simply removing alcohol, Kin designed drinks intended to actively enhance mood, focus, and relaxation.
The range splits into two formats. Ready-to-drink cans offer convenience for those who want to grab and go. Kin Spritz delivers ginger, bitters, and citrus with a mood-lifting blend underneath. Kin Bloom takes a rosé-inspired direction with strawberry and rosemary. Lightwave and Luna Morada round out the relaxation options, while Actual Sunshine provides a caffeinated morning alternative with immunity-boosting ingredients.
For those who prefer mixing, the bottle range includes High Rhode, Dream Light, and Matchatini. These concentrated formulas work as bases for cocktails or topped with sparkling water. The flexibility appeals to home bartenders wanting to craft something more elaborate.
In 2021, supermodel Bella Hadid joined as co-founder and partner, investing in the company and taking an active role in product development. Her family's Pennsylvania farm now supplies lavender for new formulations. The partnership brought significant visibility, though Kin had already built a following among wellness-focused drinkers before Hadid came aboard.
Kin occupies a distinct position in the alcohol-free space. Most NA brands try to replicate beer, wine, or spirits. Kin created something new entirely, a category they essentially invented. The drinks don't taste like alcohol because they're not trying to. Instead, they offer complex botanical flavours designed to complement social occasions without mimicking what came before.
The functional ingredients remain central to the proposition. Adaptogens like Rhodiola Rosea help the body manage stress. Nootropics support cognitive function. Whether you feel the difference comes down to individual experience, but the formulations go beyond simple flavoured water.
You'll find Kin at upmarket retailers like Erewhon in LA, Soho House locations, and select Target stores across the US. They also ship direct from their website, though currently only within the United States. UK availability remains limited, making this more of a brand to watch than one easily accessible from British shores.
