Pathfinder
The Pathfinder draws inspiration from an unlikely source: Old West snake oil salesmen and their mysterious botanical elixirs. That theatrical premise translates into something genuinely interesting in the glass.
Hemp forms the base, fermented and distilled to create an aromatic spirit character without the alcohol. Layered over that foundation sits a complex botanical blend: wormwood, angelica root, saffron, ginger, sage, orange peel, and wild-harvested Douglas fir. The combination delivers an earthy, bittersweet profile reminiscent of Italian amaro.
American craft lies behind the liquid. At 0.0% ABV, it qualifies as completely alcohol-free while retaining the intensity and complexity that makes spirits interesting. Citrus peel, baking spice, and liquorice root notes emerge across the palate, finishing with warmth that feels surprisingly spiritous.
The Pathfinder works in cocktails where you'd normally reach for amaro or botanical spirits. Mixed with tonic, it holds its own. Served over ice with a citrus twist, it satisfies the urge for something grown-up and complex.
UK availability runs through specialist retailers including The Whisky Exchange and Dry Drinker, plus direct from the brand's UK website. It sits in premium territory, but it earns that positioning.
