A Catalan barn, a Kiwi brewer, and a local dreamer. DosKiwis started in 2016 when Judit from Empordà and Michael from New Zealand decided to make the beers they wanted to drink but couldn't find in their corner of Spain. After discovering an abandoned barn in Rupià, they spent over a year transforming it into a working brewery, opening their doors in February 2019 with just three beers on tap and a single garden table in the courtyard.

The name tells the story. Two kiwis, one fruit and one nationality, coming together in the Catalan countryside between Girona, the Pyrenees, and the Costa Brava. Their brewing philosophy centres on modern, accessible beers packed with flavour, using quality ingredients sourced carefully.

Their core range spans the craft spectrum. Ideal delivers hazy IPA at 6.5%, while Rupianum takes the West Coast route at 5.5%. Medes Pils showcases New Zealand hops in pilsner form. Black Swan pours as a nitro dry stout. Limited editions bring imperial stouts, double IPAs, and collaborations with breweries from Tokyo to France.

Fenix represents their alcohol-free entry. This 0.4% brew uses Nelson Sauvin, Citra, Motueka, and Simcoe hops to create tropical pineapple aromas over herbal and spicy undertones. The palate brings citrus brightness across a light body. It's their first AF beer, showing that even small craft operations are taking the category seriously.

The taproom in Rupià offers more than beer. Specialty coffee, kombucha, and natural wines sit alongside the taps. Tasting experiences let visitors work through the range properly.
