Browar Gzub
Browar Gzub sits in the village of Annopole, deep in Poland's Greater Poland region. This family-run craft brewery has been operating since 2017, born from five years of training at Belgian and Dutch breweries. The founders brought back traditional methods and married them with modern equipment.
What defines Gzub is their commitment to natural processes. Every beer undergoes refermentation in bottles or barrels, a technique that preserves flavour for up to a year without pasteurisation or filtration. It takes longer. It costs more. The approach has earned them recognition at Polish trade shows and membership in Greater Poland's Culinary Heritage network.
Their alcohol-free range shows the same craft approach applied to the growing AF market. Bryza pairs a light ale base with lime juice for something citrusy and refreshing. Zefir brings tropical notes with passion fruit. Orkan combines mango and passion fruit for a fruitier option. All sit below 0.5% ABV. These sit alongside a broader portfolio of IPAs, stouts, wheat beers, and an impressive collection of barrel-aged sours that have built their reputation among Polish craft beer enthusiasts.
The brewery welcomes visitors to their Annopole site, offering tastings and tours. They even have space for camping if you fancy making a weekend of it. Their online shop ships direct across Poland, making their beers accessible beyond the local area.
Outside Poland they're hard to find. That's the honest limitation of a small family operation focused on quality over scale. But if you're in the region, or willing to order from their site, this is Polish craft brewing at its most uncompromising.
