Ritual Zero Proof
Ritual Zero Proof launched in Chicago in 2019 with a straightforward pitch: non-alcoholic spirits that actually work in cocktails. The brand grew rapidly to become America's leading non-alcoholic spirit producer, a position significant enough that Diageo acquired them in September 2024.
The range covers the base spirits that anchor most cocktails. The Whiskey Alternative delivers oak, vanilla, and caramel for Old Fashioneds. The Tequila Alternative brings agave and smokiness for Margaritas. The Gin Alternative offers juniper and botanicals for G&Ts. Rum joins the lineup with molasses depth for Daiquiris and Mojitos. An Aperitif rounds out the collection.
Each product replaces its alcoholic counterpart at a 1:1 ratio, making recipe adaptation simple. Bartenders can use their existing cocktail knowledge without recalculating proportions or adjusting techniques.
Calorie counts stay minimal. The Gin, Tequila, and Aperitif Alternatives contain no calories at all. Whiskey and Rum come in at five calories. Everything sits below 0.5% ABV and remains gluten-free.
The Diageo acquisition brings significant distribution muscle to an already well-positioned brand. That corporate backing means Ritual should become increasingly available as the non-alcoholic category continues expanding. It's now as mainstream a brand as the AF spirits space has produced.
